Vacation in the Uk

Last year Christmas, Dunhill cigarette company had a promotion where every pack you bought, comes with a code that you text back to them to win the grand prize of a trip for two to London as well as other constellation prizes.
During the course of the Christmas season, I won some stuff such as, vouchers, vodka, lighters etc. Little did I know that I smoked so much that I won the grand prize: An all inclusive, luxurious trip for two to London.
They sent me for a week to London and I stayed on another week because I didn't see the point in flying for 10-11 hours and only staying for one week.
They put us up at the Trafalgar Square Hilton (beautiful hotel) and gave me a good raise of spending money. I've recently stopped smoking since I won the trip but don't tell Dunhill that lol. I wanted to use the free spending money to get myself some fishy stuff but no luck in that department lol. I came back home with some to finally get my chiller

If you thought it was interesting finding a trini pub in London, youd be in heaven on the 30th of this month. There is a massive carnival called "The nottinghill carnival". Basically a big festival celebrating west indian culture. The women are OMG hot. Great music, and great food and just a brilliant place to be. Thats where i met my ex, a Trini girl btw . Oh did i mention the girls are HOT? lol

wow, congrats on the trip. I've always wanted to go to london, only place overseas that i've gone to is Spain and a one night stay in gibralter but that's it, and awesome pics!

 

Awesome! I went to Ireland for a short time, but never made it over. Always wished I had. Hadn't seen you around in a while, good to see all is well and it was just a vacation!

 

Congrats on the win :clapping: - did you not go see any of the palaces? Houses of parliment? Downing St? Tower of London? Tate? If you had mentioned before you went i could of recommended all sorts lile Tussauds etc...

What i dont get is Swindon? Its not even close to London its the other side of the country, how come you went there?

 

Awesome trip! What a great prize to win I would love to go to London some time. I'd also love to hit up Ireland and Germany, and maybe Taiwan or China. Or Japan. And then the big trip for me would be to travel to Australia for a vacation. I would love that.

Hey, I've heard of nottinghill carnival and seen some pics of it there. It's very much like the carnival that we have in trinidad in February-March. Same bands ,music etc. I would like to experience it first hand though. Congrats on the trini girl lol...

Indeed it was an amazing trip and a lucky win. Too many pubs to choose from had to get out sometime or the other

London is the furthest that I've ever gone. The only other time I travelled overseas was about 10 years ago to Miami. All the other times, I just traveled in the Caribbean Region.

It's really nice there. You should go the next time you have a chance. I really like the weather. Yep just a vacation and as soon as I came back, I had exams on top of that, jet lag from an 18 hour journey from London to Trinidad.

I was supposed to go see all the sights. Everything was booked and planned out. All the London sights, Thames River Cruise etc. However, We couldn't get accustomed to the time difference and so we over slept and missed the tour. I'm so bummed because of that. But I want to go back sometime soon.
We eventually traveled out of London because Dunhill only paid for us to stay there for four days and we wanted to stay a bit longer so we ventured out to Swindon by one of my girlfriend's friends. It was really nice out there.

Back packing and a Euro trip will be my intention sometime next year. I really want to see the whole of Europe. And then I need to stay in Australia for at least a month;D;D
