ok so im leaving in like 5 hours taking my 3yr old son to disney world for the week.(this is why is put this under asap).

not really worried about the tank. but i got one thing to still figure out. i got 2... 6 gal water jugs for top off plain ro/di water. and i have someone that is staying here and will fill the sump every day as it gets low. so my ? is about by chemicals. i use esv b-ionic buffers for cal/kh and i also use esv mag. can i add like a wks dose of all this in to the plain top off water. or will mixing this much chemical in small amounts of fresh water mess with the balance.

or my other option is just not dose for the wk and let it fall. it shouldnt ever fall lower than 7-8 kh, call 400, mag 1200. in a week at least ive never experienced it go lower than this. then i can just bump it back up when i get back.?

    what you all think?

If the person who is taking care of the tanks is not a reefer....

ive tried dosing it into the top off water, it doesnt disolve in the top off, if it sits still at all it just reforms and concentrates on the bottom of the jug, I just wouldn't dose for the week and bring it back up when you get back

I third the motion. I wouldn't have anyone but a reefer dose my tank.....even if it is premixed. The only thing I would have someone do during the week is top off and a one time feeding half way through the week and that isn't even necessary most of the time.
