UV filter

just started to cycle my 90 Gallon reef tank, I have a coral lifeTurbo twist 6X uv filter that i wanted to install, can you give me some advice on using this ?
I ready somewhere that being on full time is not healthy for corals and reefs in genral, BUT would ensure no algae problems ?

Should i leave it on all the time ? or should it be on for X hours per day ? is it best to use it at night when the tank lights are off ? (does that make any difference at all ?

Will this harm my cycle ? should i wait until i see algae ? complete the cycle ?

leave it on 24/7 there is a lot of myths out there about uv. and so many differ on thoughts on it. i use one and wouldn't be without it. here is some reading for you. UV Sterilization, Irradiation for Aquariums/Ponds; UVC Sterilizers Information maybe that will help. three are different flows for different needs read what your uv calls for, for a reef and go with that pump size.
