Actually my first post here :)

Got a used 1/10th chiller today off CL for my 40g reef, chills great (testing in a 12g tub), clean and quite. But it seems to have lots of brown "stuff" in it's piping. Any recommendations on cleaning it?

My wifey thinks it's soil from "growing" veggies (not, the guy smelled funny). Any thoughts? Bleach x 1 then water x 5?

    Thank you in advance,
    Peter

Mix up a strong vinegar solution in a 5 gallon bucket, install a pump in the bucket and pump it through the chiller and back to the bucket in a loop letting it run for several hours.

Good call, don't know why I didn't think of that, thank you so much! I'll let it run overnight and then replace the water a few times tmrw.
