I am considering using the section I had divided in my sump for a refugium as a grow out for clowns.

I can control water flow and wouldn't use it until the baby clowns went through metemorphasis. I am thinking it would help maintain water quality and etc?
    Would it work?

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
There used to be a member way back that kept the larvae/fry in the display within a net enclosure.
Are you going to be able to keep the concentration of foods sufficient for the development of the fry.

My thoughts were that I would raise the larvae in a seperate tank until they went through metamorphasis.. by that time I would be feeding them instead of the tank... I could shut off water during the feedings then resume the flow after feedings were complete.
