ive already talked with a few people on here about a volitan in a 55. we said since they dont move much it isnt a prob (still kinda sceptical, but i have a big bucket to take it to the lfs if need be)

my question is, could i get a lonspine urchin as seen here?

would that work? i think LG on here said that he successfully trimmed his urchin when its spines got too long. i want one to help with algae and because it would be cool in the not touch tank.

    thanks

Lionfish eat fish only i believe so you should have no problems.

I doubt it urchins aren't known to aggressively seek out something to sting like a lionfish.

Should be fine, i have a big longspine urchin in my tank, about 5" wide, he lives in harmony with a fuzzy lionfish, no problems, i have seen my peacock wrasse and yellow tang swim past the lion and touch it no problems, go for it, fish are very careful where they swim and neither the urchin and the lion are very quick...
