Butterflies are also difficult to keep... hard to feed and most don't do well in captivity. Plus you might have an issue since you plan on having a tang and they are similar looking. there are a few members here who have butterflies, so perhaps they can help with advice if your set on getting one. personally I have no exp. though. For angels... its hit or miss. i have a coral beauty, which ive heard is the least likely to pick at corals but again, this all varies per individual fish. basically, add a dwarf with caution, keep an eye on it. Also, as long as you keep them well fed they shouldn't (i use this word lightly) bother with corals.

We have an african flameback angel, they are rude lil guys, and he nips at corals, but we have a lot and he is little, so its worth it for us. I have always steered away from copperbands. It will be a hit/ miss thing for you. You will lose fish, its almost impossible not to lose a fish or coral. Yeah are you feeling the frustration yet? All the cool fish cant be kept together or cant be kept with corals.

I say get one leopard if you can find one that eats prepared foods and only if you can find one that eats prepared. I found one and it is now my most favorite fish I have ever owned.

Thats what were here for :) Yes, it always varies from fish to fish as each tends to have their own personality. Not really sure if that lighting would work, i believe there should be some kind of a dark period, not to mention your electric bill would probably be outrageous running lights 24/7. you should def. have rock in there, whether you want to buy all live rock or buy some base rock and live rock is totally up to you. i dont know what your budget it. Sand bed in the display tank is again totally up to you, i have about 1.5"-2" in my display and 5" in my fuge. I also keep macro algae in my fuge, chaeto is a popular choice, i also have shaving brush and flame algae. Copepods are very tiny "bugs" that live in live rock. chances are you will have some hitchhike when you buy LR. Some people seed with copepods to build a large population of them to feed to certain fish (dragonets etc.) the reason for keeping them in the fuge is that some will make their way to the display tank but the ones in the fuge will be safe from predators and thus maintain a good population. there are many threads on here from many experienced reefers that can answer all your questions. i suggest taking some time to look through them concerning live rock, sand beds, copepods, algaes, lighting etc. as you can gather much more information then i could possibly type to you. Goodluck my friend! :)

In a 75, you'd be best to choose BETWEEN a wrasse and a mandarin. Unless you are willing to culture your own pods of course ;)

thank you for the great reply and on my ref i would only light it from like 8pm to 8am with my moonlights with timers then they would go off an i would have my blue t5s come on 3 or so hours before my clear t5 and run the blue ones for 12 hours during the day and the clear around 6 to 8hrs do you think that would be ok along with i would be planning on a shallow sand bed in display and 4 or so inch in my ref thank you again for all your help
