Undercover Monster Nem

I got an long tentacle anemone on Wed., put it in the tank fed it a small amount and at lights out it was still normal size...moved around a bit all night.
Thursday all was well...it was open a bit more than the day before (like what it looked like in the LFS), fed it another smallish bit...the actinics went on and it was fine then the moonlights went on and it became a beast.

Is this normal???

perfectly normal. They can and do inflate themselves and expend several times in size.

They expand and shrink as they expel waste. If it begins to shrink and expand a lot it may be a sign of reducing water quality.

Yeah, that looks normal to me.


Until it finds on a place to settle down at, it will move around, and it won't be perfectly happy until it finds that place.

 

Thanks for the info. It's back to "normal" size this morning.

 

Just an update.
The nem I think has settled down, it's now been in the same spot for 24 hours so hopefully it's found its home.
