i have one,, back when i was into FW, i had a roomate , my couch was against my 55 gal. well i went to work one day and when i left my tank was crystal clear, and looking good,, not so much when i got home, it was so cloudy i could not even see a inch through the glass,, come to find out my roomate was sleeping on the couch while his little kid (3 or 4). decide that he wanted to feed the fish so he climbs on the back of the couch and pours a bag of reeses pieces. into the tank thinking he was feeding them (kind of my fought, i would hold him up a let him feed them from time to time). could not take it out on the kid but me and his dads went around... at the time i had 3 oscars, and a channel cat in my tank. i later found out that after it was all up and running again, that my roomate and one of are outher good freinds, (both were fishing nuts) decided to set up lawn chairs in the living room and do a little fishing... they still have not heard the end of it, and they dont come close to my tanks now

Quite a few years ago, with my first FW tank (a 45 hex) my daughter who was about 5 or 6 at the time decided to climb up onto the counter where it was and add all the chemicals (inc. aquarium salt) I had for the tank.
This subsiquintly killed off most of the fish and the plants.
At least it wasn't done by a full grown adult who knew the consequences, like inwall's experience. I don't really understand people that'd hurt/kill an animal to get back at someone.

that's a shame that wives and otheres decide to wreck havoc on your reef...
If thier going to want to hurt you they should think twice about another way like smashing your ps3 or ripping apart somthing you really cherish...
but as for the reef this beautiful system does not deserve to croak or die just because a fight breaks out at home...
remeber these critters and corals are living happily and it's not there fault that there gonna die at your spouses hands!!!

sometimes it's just a freak accident though, years ago when I was a teen someone set off a bug bomb in a room with my 55 gallon FW tank and the pumps / filters were all running so it pulled the chemical right into the water and torpedoed my tank.

Sometimes the old saying is true poo happens.
