    +1 , that would make sense at least, sorry if you lost him - although, sometimes they can be skiddish and just hide out. poke around in there and see if you can't scare him out from a hiding spot. If not, feel around on the bottom to remove him.

    wcs...+1, (you used tap water before, and while tap is at best inconsistent, if you were not having nitrate import problems before, you may not have them again...you can always test the tap as well before putting in)

    time..+1 - if everything appears to be healthy the worst thing you can do is make a mistake by panicking.
