I have heard great things about the reactor from two little fishes however I was thinking of getting the dual reactor from bulkreef supply that runs carbon in one chamber and GFO in the other. What should I do? keep my HOB filter and use that for carbon and phosban reactor for the GFO? or carbon and gfo in the phosban reactor or just get the dual from bulkreef?

I think the dual is a bit more convenient, since you don't need to unload a cartridge that has GFO and carbon when you just change carbon most of the time.

    I have owned both.

First bought a pair to TLF reactors. Worked great. Good quality. Just a PITA to change media. You have to disconnect the pump and completely remove the hanging bracket and container.

BRS dual reactor is awesome. Easy to change media. Just drop the cartridge. The only drawbacks of this one is size and the tubing. It is not small, more like huge. The tubing that they give you is a rigid form and not very long. Other than that......

I have had both and honestly the BRS dual chamber works best IMO! I had a hard time controlling the flow in the 2 seperate controllers and always ended up either tumbling the GFO too much or not enough and it becoming a big clump!

I have two of the Phosban150 reactors from 2LF....I use them to run Carbon and GFO (from time to time), personally I think they do a great job and built OK for the price.
