we have a bad outbreak of these in our system. About the only thing to do is manual removing them.......I get tweezers and pull them out from the bottom. It is very time consuming so we are pulling rocks out of our system and letting them all die out.

I have a cowfish that I am going to move into that tank that I found one day sucking on one of the tubeworms like a straw. There was a piece of rock in his tank that has them on there and he had a feast with them. Problem is........he will also eat your shrimp and crabs. Mine blows the crabs over with puffs of water and eats them. Also I have not heard of cowfish being drawn to them.......so i might have a fluke. But I am excited by this.........just saw it this weekend.

you are right........as beneficial as they might be.......they are a pain in the butt and can become like aiptasia especially when they hook onto your sps corals and start growing on them

You can feed less. They are typically a result of lots of food in the system. My tank has gone nuts with them. I like them though.
