Tube and LT nems together?

Saw it in a store, they said it was ok, but I'd always been led to believe different. Searched a little, found some things that said the 2 CAN be civil with each other but most likely not. Thoughts?

 

Nems of different species being civil? No. If they cross paths, somebody's gonna get stung. I would say it might work if you have a long tank, maybe 55g or larger, and place them on opposite ends. That would provide a better chance that the LTA won't wander into the tube nem. Still no guarantee, but a better chance, nonetheless.

 

That's what I thought. LT in there with a tube nem and i know it wasn't anywhere near 55 gal. 40 gal would have pushed it. The LT wasn't anchored and I was like "that's not right", but they ignored my 2 cents about their inhabitants. Sad to see there's more than just my bad LFS around. :-/

 

I have a tube nem and a H. crispa in the same 125...but they are far apart and can't see each other for the rocks, LOL!

 

lol. Can they actually see each other? There's a funny pic in my head of nems with mad googly eyes.

 

Absolutely...I was very careful in my placement so there was a rock between them...figured if they couldn't see each other they wouldn't get into trouble!
