    So...here he is.

i know this was a bad idea and hes way beyond saving but i'm willing to try. saw him at a lfs and had to bring him home.

i have few copods but MANY of the larger artropods and he/she seems to be hunting. will she actually eat the big pods or do i need to get sum copods ordered? has ANYONE had success bringing an malnourished Mandarin back? also, just want to make sure this is clear, i did not want a mandarin. but he was in an BB aquarium with base rock and i knew he would be better off in my fuge. also, got him for 13$ so it was clear that he was gunna die.

    any advice would help

unfortunately its hard to tell, because once they reach a certain point, they lose the batcteria in there stomach that allows them to digest. so even if they are "hunting" or eating, they cant get any nutrients out of the food. no matter how much they eat, they still die of starvation.

fortunately your fish may not be at that point, and still be able to be saved. good luck and let us know how it goes! :)

He looks pretty bad, buddy. I'm glad you found him. At least you know he's wanting to eat. So I would get some pods from LFS (Mine breed and sale them) or online to give him a head start.

I hope he comes around. +k for the effort..... and very good luck!

well, we have one on the west island (suburb) but if they have em its worth the trip. just a lil update on manny, he's moving around alot and his little belly seems to be less concave. also, has anyone seen a mandarin poop, and what does it look like? im willing to hunt for poop to make sure this guy is processing properly.

i saw him pooing! he seems to be doing very well, and i still see quite a few pods on the glass and calupra. he actually jumped into the return section of my sump and i had to pick him up and put him back in the fuge. the little guy slimed my hand for good measure.
