    Hi Guys,

I am still suffering with a case of dinoflagellates and as such, haven't done a water change in two weeks now. I am feeling really guilty since I have done one every Sunday since the tank cycled. I know that it isn't beneficial to do a water change since it adds iron and the dinoflagellates feed off of the iron. I just need someone to talk me down from doing a water change. I was wondering if it is okay to do some maintenance without a water change. Thanks!!!

    Ivy

If you using RO/DI water, then you shouldn't have a problem, in fact a water change may be good. But if you are using tap water, then you will have issues. You can do tank maintenance without any problems.
