truely terrible day

So today i went to the sale at my lfs but i got their at 2 o clock which was too late and none of the fish i wanted were left. I made an impulse buy and got a flame angel when i got home and put him in everything seemed fine. then as i was cleaning my skimmer cup i droped it and it cracked all the way through. Can i use super glue to fix it? then around 8 oclock my mom calls me saying one of the fish is beating up another fish. I go in and sure enough the flame angel has taken over the whole tank and one of the clown fish is attacking the other clown fish. realzing what a bad idea the flame angel was i tried to take him out so i could put him in the fuge and take him back to the store tomorrow. an hour later he was out and half the lr was out of my tank. that mofo is going back to the store tomorrow and i am never making an impulse buy again.

 

I want a Flame Angel myself but they can nip at corals so I am not getting one. Get a safer fish

 

I had a crack in my protein skimmer cup and I used PVC adhesive to fill it and let it dry over night, it's fine now. I can relate to what a pain it is to have to remove LR to catch something, I had an uber crab and had to take about 75 lbs of LR out to finally trap it, it looked like a cyclone hit my tank! At least you caught the fish though!!

 

yeah. at least i learned never to impulse buy. i should have taken my 40 snails and just walked out

Its been my exp. that "angels" dont mix with reefs tanks. There are some exceptions, like with everything else in life, but are rare. I made the same mistake once with a Keyhole Angel( disregard the key and replace it with azz) not only did he terrorize corals, but it took me a whole month to catch him. What a nightmare. Luna
