that was one of the nicer ways that I have seen people say "don't do this" on one of these forums. :)

I have 240 g tank, time to fees at least twice, which I do now, and mostly peaceful tank mates to go with him.
As far as experience I have only been doing this for little over a year but I have experienced many of things that can go wrong and I am still here. :)

Awesome, well, if you want to, go ahead, but order it special from your lfs instead maybe...that site seems a bit suspicious....

Yeah, I agree with the LFS idea. Go to the most reputable one near you, and get it from them. You don't want to deal with shipping an already-tough fish.

Nah, you guys had already talked me out of it. :( To be honest I made the first post before I looked up its care requirements and they put me on the fence. You guys are such buzz kills some times.

Just kidding, I appreciate all of the input. I could only find one person who had ever actually dealt with the fish, he was successful, but most other people I spoke to had never seen one. I was hoping others on here would have dealt with the fish and maybe encourage me to do the same but that would be self justification of a bad idea. :-/ So, I'll stop arguing and just agree that the fish should be left in the ocean and not whine because it's pretty and I want one. :)

mussara I dig your choice bud. I think leopard wrasses are also a cool fish that require large aquariums and special care that might make a good 'trainer' fish to see if you are up to it. They are not AS finicky as the batfish, but I look at it like this: Keep getting more and more difficult fish to keep, take little steps to ensure what you are doing is successful, and maybe a year or two down the road the batfish will be the next little step!

I will have to keep looking. I really didn't like that site either. Like a lot of people said it looks sketchy. Does anyone else have suggestions for good sites with a decent guarantee for live arrival? My LFS does not guarantee any of their fish and will not hold a fish for you so I was hoping to start buying online.

Well, my LFS has no guarantee either. They'll tell you exactly how long something has been in the store, going so far as showing you their invoice from when they bought it. I don't know if they will hold a fish, I've never asked.
