dang i love coral beautys and in theory it could work but probably best not to test them. Im trying to find some smaller fish that i can add that ave a good chance of surviving which is why i picked damsels. hmmm

If you get any of these fish and it doesn't work out, do you have a back-up plan? Another tank to put them in, or a store to trade them in?

The triggers that you listed are territorial, and your tank is on the short side. In any of your scenarios, you will ultimately need a bigger tank. Even if it's just to support the bio load, because they will need to eat a lot to stay happy.

Which ever trigger you get, I'd say get a very small one. You don't want an aggressive trigger to be the dominant fish in the tank. It will be hell for all of the others.

ya the lfs i go to will take returns or trade ins so im not at all worried if i need to remove any fish because of whatever reason. Im thinkin of getting each fish around maybe like 3 inches except for the eel. Should any fish be bigger than the others?

Just make sure the trigger is much smaller than the others. I got my Goldheart to keep the Blueline in his place. The Blueline cannot be the dominant fish. The Goldheart dominates, but does not terrorize the other fish.

so if i do get the niger and the humu rectangle should they be added at the same time? should the niger be bigger because it is less aggressive?

here's a nice chart for you to peruse over:

i think someone answered your questions a while back...2 triggers in the same tank is a big risk, period.

oh trust me ive looked at that chart more than anything. Right now the 2 triggers is just an idea...nothing set in stone. Ive seen many people do even more triggers in a tank the same size or even smaller so it makes me want to at least attempt it and untill i talk to the guys at my lfs i wont be moving forward with it. IF i do the two triggers and one doesnt work out then its always an option for me to take one back. Im simply throwing around my ideas so see people reactions to it. I like to hear other peoples opinion so i can pick one that i trust.
