Treated wood and stand/basment floor?

    Im thinking maybe regular wood for the whole stand but ill paint with marine boat paint. whats everyone think?

    I would also use PT for frame. Atleast the base. Anything one inch or less(within contact of crete) should be PT. It's building code here. And it is very twisted stuff. The less you use the better off you'll be for square/level/plum. I'd remove the tile in the area that the stand is going to sit. You could possibly make the stand to accomodate the size(s) of the tile. 12x12 tile would be easy to make a pretty basic sized stand.

    PT/treated wood is only a couple cents(-/+) more, do it right from the start, esp. on something that will be holding up your prized possesion.
