    As the title states

My guy down south built me my tank on Dec 28th. I would need to transport this tank on Jan 1, 2012 only 5 days after being built.

He told me that because it was made with black silicone he wasn't sure if it would be ready to handle the vibrations for the trip.

So can a tank be transported before being fully cured? It will have 5 days on it from the time it was built. It will be transported on styrofoam in the back of a pickup.

The weather is approx -18 Celsius (-1 F ) and the drive is 500 miles

He tells me if I take it I take it at my own risk, and he won't warranty the tank.

    What would you do?

The alternative being picking it up in a few months and delaying my whole build

I wouldn't risk it. I wouldn't worry about the vibrations as much as I would the handling of the tank. I've never been in this scenario with a tank, but I can tell you that from working with plumbing on tanks that tweaking stuff too much before it's cured will get you leaks.

How long does he recommend to let it cure?

Why would it be a few months if you can't get it now?
