While at my LFS i saw a 90 gallon tank in the clearance section. Curious as to why such a big tank would be over there, i asked someone to show me it's defects. Turns out the wood was dented (Just barely), and the front glass had been scratched. I asked if it leaked, and it does not. The best part, it was $90 bucks. I wanted to buy it right then and there, but i have some questions for you first...
DO they make a Hood large enough for that, or is it a DYI.
And if i made a Sump, would a 10g be big enough or should i go 29g

It is a great deal. Not sure on the canopy, I always save the money and build my own anyways. As or the sump, 10 gallons would not be enough, I have a 20 long on my 65. You should put the biggest sump you can under there, and don't skimp, because if you want to upgrade to a larger sump it is VERY difficult to swap sumps. My sump had to enter the stand from the top where the tank sits. If my sump were to break, Id have to know out one side of the stand to get it out.

im not sure about the hood or canopy. you could go with a 10 gallon sump, but the 29 gallon would be more beneficial. you do a lot more with that. You could add a fuge if you did the 29 gallon sump.

I dont know about the hood but I imagine they make one for it. As for the sump the 29g would be a better choice. The largest sump you can get into the stand is generally better although it depends on what else you have to go under there. I use a 30g sump under my 55g tank.

Go with the 29 gallon more water volume.
