Your tank is awesome no matter how dark or light. Congrats on the skimmer too. I am a big fan of Reef Octopus.

Thank you all for the kind works! I really love being a part of this forum and getting feedback from all the wonderful people here!

Rolo- Yes, this skimmer dude is a BEAST! It's now obvious that while my other skimmer was working great and pulling great skim everyday, it just finally wasn't keeping up to the volume I now have.

That's the skimmer I want! I just bought the sc303 and it's been amazing in my reef. One day I'll be a part of the reef octopus club.

I purchased the same skimmer for my build. Glad you are happy with it, that way I know I will be too!

Yes, that is my GSP- it started as 3 little hairs over 3 years ago.
It's been fragged many a time. I try and keep it at bay, but it always wants to slowly take over, anywhere it touches, it takes off!

The other is my Branching Gorgonean- it to was bought as a single strand about 3cm long at a local frag swap 3 yrs ago.
It has been fragged numerous times also- not nearly as invasive as my GSP.
I also have some encrusting Gorgonean- no THAT is also very invasive- everywhere it touches- it grows and covers, etc.

I hope you'll like it as well. With the gate valve it seems really easy to adjust, it's pulling great skim already. Maybe it's just me, but the water actually seems cleaner, and the fish and coral seem to see a difference too. I know it puts more air/oxygen into the water column with the bigger air line and bigger volume pump.

It's a Reef Octopus nw200- 6540B Not sure if they still make this model.
It was used, but seemed like barely.
The reefer I traded/paid for it even said he had bought it used and had never used it, then traded me my former skimmer, an older SC150.
