    Scrub the rock with a scrub brush in some tank water after carefully picking off the bubble algae and rinsing the rock, that way you should not have any problem.

    As for the price to buy one from Live Aquaria it would be 29.99 for a small 2" to 3" and 39.99 for a med 3" to 5". That one appears to be at least 4" or better so I would say go for it, good buy!
