    I meant a manufacturers guarantee.

Also, something to check...... See if you home owners insurance will cover you if a home built tank gives way. Not likely, but that's why we have insurance.

I have a 210g by the same manufacturer and it's awesome. I bought it cheap for $900. I would have prefered a 180g myself as my tank is 72Lx24Dx29H the 5" extra height makes managing the tank tougher. They didn't have a 180g when I was ready to buy. That's one helleva deal. I've had 3 All Glass tanks without an issue. Take the deal!

I see, but I deal with folks asking me about if I am worried about my tank not holding. So I am automatically used to having to dispel any tank integrity questions, as most DIY tank builders have to.

My home insurance does not care who made the tank. Aqueon tanks are made by people as well. So the insurance company can't discriminate.

Also, if you saw my tank, or if infantyr made a tank it would be similarly built as mine, there is no AGA or other purchased tank that could equal its strength. It is built like a tank, LOL.

Fully understand. I have read yours and many other threads on "woodies" and plan to build one myself one day. If done correctly, they are strong as a rock.

In this specific case, I'm not sure I could pass up the deal for that price.

Well I am going to buy the tank, but I am going to re-sell it. I am not a fan of the stand. It is really low and will be hard to get my sump under there. So I will sell the tank and use the money towards my woody. Hear are a couple pics of the tank.

You mean to tell me that the price included a stand? Throw the damn thing on craigslist. I don't understand the thrill of building your own tank? Personally I'd be scared to death to even consider it unless I know EXACTLY what to do. I hope you qualify. Best of luck!
PS: Get a 36" high stand.

I went and bought the tank the other day and immediatly put it on craigslist. I sold the tank and delivered it yesterday. The price was a little higher than I originally expected. I paid $200 plus tax for the tank and stand. Sold it for $750. So I now have an extra $500 to put down on my tank build. Didnt even haft to take it out of the truck. lol Thanks for all the advice. and keep an eye out early november for my tank build thread

You made the right choice. Build your dream tank. If not, you will just end up spending more money later.

Awesome deal!!! I have to admit, that $500 extra would be very nice to have.
