So I know this doesn't really count as an emergancy but I need to make a decision as soon as possible.

For the last few months I have been planning to build a 200G tank. It will be a woody and a bar. Hear is the thread where I have been planning the build. http://www.3reef.com/forums/i-made/my-new-diy-tank-design-68598-5.html The pics of the final design are on the last page. I am scheduled to start the build on November 1st

But tonight I got a call from a friend. She works at a LFS and they are blowing out some of there tanks. They have a 180G aqueon tank w/stand that they are willing to sell me for $149+tax. The dimentions are 72"x24"x24" I was thinking I could still do the bar idea but just use the glass tank instead of a woody. But the tank is to long. So I would haft to put the tank on the back wall in the same area.

I am torn, I havent seen the tank yet. But it is brand new. I am supposed to go and get it tomarro.

    So the choices are

    1. Save the $150 and continue with the build plan.
    2. Buy the tank and make a sick reef
    3. Buy the tank and re-sell it on craigs list

    decisions decisions..

I gave my long winded answer on my build thread.

The time question I asked is very much the crux of the issue.

It will also come with a warranty. Not much of a reason, but.......
It is guaranteed not to leak.

For that price, I would buy it and redesign the bar around it.

That is a big tank, make sure it will fit into the room.

jon jon, if he made the tank like I made my 200g, it won't leak. The AGA tank has more of a chance of leaking than a wood/ epoxy tank.
