I have a 29g biocube and the water is not as clear as i would like it, particles flying around and stuff...I run carbon 24/7 switch it out every 3 weeks, i have a filter pad that captures large partices from the water, and a skimmer and thats it for filtration..I know their may be something else that could help with more clearer water..Any tips?

Every couple of weeks fill the sump overflow chamber with a bunch of filter floss. Turkey baste off the rocks and make a real mess. Wait 1/2 hour and do it again. Lather, rinse, repeat. After most of the detritus is gone and no longer floating around, remove the floss and throw it away.

agreed with, inwall. are you able to run a filter sock in that setup? I feel socks are a little better then floss..

do you run a micron sock in your sump as mentioned? I have a 200micron sock that the water hits first and then a sponge before the return chamber and my water is usually nice and clear. Def invest in a micron sock if you can.

The OVERFLOW chamber. Look at where the slots are from the tank. That's the overflow chamber.

I agree with inwall, and I would also add carbon to your filtration scheme.
