Tips for a quiet sump??

    I just filled my 65 gallon and the overflow hose leads to a filter sock but man is it LOUD! any tips on how to make the water entering the sump quieter? Thanks

    Like which part is loud? when it leaves the tube and splashes in the water? or something else?

    yup right its very loud entering the sump, when it hits the water. I have about 4 inches of water in the sump.
