    Hmm, ok, so they look like tiny Trochus or Astraea shells, with orange polka dots...is it a single line of polka dots around the whorls, or are they scattered?

    Hard to tell, but I think they are in a single line following the whorls of the shell.

    Yes, very much like the Trochus shell in shape.

    Hmm, could be babies of one of the Trochus species, but it's probably more likely that it's just a different species of Collonista or Homalopoma.

    Yup, same family and subfamily as the usual Collonista snails, so they should behave about the same. These don't get over a few millimeters across, just like most of the others in the family.

    Sorry off topic, Renee that is an awesome guide thanks for putting it on here. Was looking through it and realized I'd had hundreds of baby shrimp in my tank a while back. To bad they didn't make it past tiny.
