    Nope in a reef. Maybe in a fish only depending on the mix.

    Don't they get rather large?
    Would not recomend them for small tanks.

    The thornback is actually one of the smaller cowfishes. It will reach about a max size of "5 in an aquarium setting. They are much sought after due their size.

    i had one in my reef tank and it didnt bother anything but if they die they secrete a poison and could kill your whole tank. mine died but i think i got it out before anything could happen cuz the rest of my tank is still alive
