    Patience will pay great dividends in this hobby. For example, I got my entire 55 gal. setup on craigslist for $150. I found out the seller lived 1/4 mile away, and even moved the tank for me. All I added was the lights $129 (new), and skimmer ($100 on ebay). Make sure you buy the lights new, as even if you buy used, and the tubes are old, you'll replace them immediately, and it will run you even more money than a brand new setup. Fish cost me arm and leg - about $400, corals another $100 so far, inverts about $50. Live + base rock about $200 for 70 lbs.
    Also don't forget surge protectors and other peripherals like moon lights, powerheads, fish nets, magnet scrubbers, etc, etc, etc,

    Canopy DIY $75
    New Skimmer ???? still trying to decide
    Looking at my new creation when finished "PRICELESS"
    Monthly cost to run?????? but worth it

    This is a very expensive hobby but well worth it.
    The people on here will help you out and answer questions to the best of their ability. What ever you decide to go with don't get in a hurry. Its not a race. Take your time and do it right the first time.
