My tank is the perfect distraction. I've been working almost non stop all week on my orbital mechanics project, design a space mission from liftoff to reentry using currently available vehicles from Earth to an asteroid, orbit the asteroid, and then return home. Also, develop a computer code that creates contour plots of everything and minimize the fuel mass that needs to be carried. Needless to say, a lot of headaches, computer code errors, and all around general problems have plagued me this week and whenever I stop and stare into the tank for awhile, I feel a lot better and stop worrying about the project. Man, idk what i'd do if I didn't have the tank to distract me.

Tanks are a great distraction! I personally love planted freshwater tanks as theyre a sort of underwater garden that you trim and prune and always have something to play with. reefs on the otherhand are just simply beautiful to watch. now if my better half just shared my passion! actually its probably best she doesnt because I dont think a mortgage on the house for a 2000 gal tank would be financially smart =P

Yeah, that mortgage probably wouldn't be a good idea. I'm fortunate enough to have a better half the enjoys the hobby as well but is also good about reminding me to not spend too much money on it. I would really like to do a pico freshwater planted. I have an extra 5gal tank laying around, hmmmm????

I dont mean to plug other forums but if you're looking into freshwater pico's the nano forum on plantedtank.net cannot be matched. I have a fluval edge planted and it is where I spend a lot of time =) shrimp tanks with glosso or some small mosses simply look beautiful

Yeah, I learned that command a long time ago. Although when your program has a run time of 45min, it might as well be an infinite loop.

I can imagine. How much of a cycle period is there on one of those or is there one? I've never looked into them yet.
