Sorry to hear it. And everyone is right..even though it's very disheartening look at it as an opportunity to come back stronger and better than before. You now have knowledge you probably didn't have when you first set that tank up.

That hurts...I was just looking online at portable generators. It's looking like anywhere from 3-5 hundred dollars for a decent one. But I believe the investment is pocket change compared to the love passion I have for all things aquatic.

Keep your head up, and by all means take advantage of the knowledge and experience you have and do all the things you might have wanted to do different the last time.

So sorry to hear that, it is really heartbreaking and frustrating to loose livestock, and tremenously more so to loose an entire tank. You probably will never get over it completely, but as others have said though, rebuilding will help alleviate a lot of your grief and rejuvenate your interest in the hobby.

Sorry for your loss, but rebuild even better. I love harbor freight. Don't go with a 2-stroke generator, they foul plugs to easy & you get to listen to a chainsaw running. Here's a one that's on sale for $299.99 with extra power to spare. I still want to install a whole house one that runs on natural gas.

My generator has saved my butt a few times this year already.
