i like the blackspot hogfish alot, but it say they are rare. :-( if i exclude the lionfish, how many more could i add to what i have already chosen? how about fairy wrasses?

I'm not sure about fairy wrasses, Roger. I've owned a number of them, and they like VERY peaceful surroundings, or they just don't thrive. That eel is going to make them nervous wrecks [smiley=wreck.gif], and they aren't going to do well in that environment (IMO).

You'd do better sticking with a little more hardy brand of wrasse, like the hogfish, or one of the Thalassoma sp. That group contains more than just the Lunare, you know; and some of them are definitely worth a little burrowing. Look at this one (from Fishbase.org) for instance: ;D

Look here for the complete article on the "Ornate Wrasse."

BTW, if you look to the left of the "Post reply" screen you will see a little "2thumbsup" smilie. Below him it says, "View All Smilies." Click on that and you'll see all the smilies you could ever want. [smiley=scholar.gif]

[glow=Navy, 1, 800]No, Roger, I think you'd be close to maxxing out.  You have to consider what these fish are going to grow into in a very short time.  Some fish grow faster than others, and your wrasse will be one of the faster growers, along with the angel (just faster metabolisms).[/glow] [smiley=cool4.gif]

[glow=Black, 1, 800]Why don't you concentrate on thelist that you have right now, and see how you like the combination.  Let them get used to each other, and you to them.  And see if there are going to be any problems.  If it looks like you have room, you can always add fish later (and I'll be glad to show you how to do that).[/glow] [smiley=scholar.gif] [smiley=thumbs_up1.gif] [smiley=wave.gif]

    Edit: Fixed color.

Did you ook at the site I posted? Let us know which of those wrasses you like and we'll go from there. The Thallassoma have the same general disposition.

You shold be fine. As wrassman said, juveniles will be your best bet from a pragmatic and cost perspective.
