Every time I look in my tank, I can't help, but notice this ugly eye sore. It takes so much of the natural beauty away. This is a small tank which makes it so much more noticiable. I have thought and thought on how I can hide this much needed equipment and there is no easy answers.
I do have a sump/refugium that should be running next month whixh will help get rid some of it. now for the other eye sores, has anyone ever done all the water movement with external pumps only with only a jet/spray tube whatever you call them in the tank? Its probably not going to be the cheapest way, but the tank would look better for it.

Great looking tank. Would having all your flow coming from the return reduced the effectiveness of the refugium?

Thanks! Those are the answers I am looking for, thats a lot of water coming out of there, I am not sure that the 800gph overflow would keep up with it

Once you add your sump/fuge you'll see a big difference. That with 2 PH will make a world of difference. It's actually a very beautiful tank! :)

Thanks again! :D I thought of having 2 sumps, one just for pumps for water movement, but then I am looking at 2 overflows, so that solves nothing, I do know when I return to work those massive powerheads are history, but then I will also have a 90g or 120g then that stuff won't stick out like a sore thumb.

What you are looking for is a "Closed Loop" system where you use an external pump just to move water. They are popular and can very alot. Also they usually do not run through the sump/fuge so that worry is eliminated. Do a search on that topic and see what you like!

Yep, that is exactly why I got rid of koralias. I am running a sea swirl for return and a few vortechs for circulation. The combo is practically un-noticable.
Your only option for 100% un-noticable would be to drill the bottom and put a closed loop in there with rocks surrounding your output pipes.
