John, I am fairly tired and honestly did not reads the whole thing.... but as always you have some of the best advice on here! major K+ for writing something so informative that I actually need to go to bed now... lol (and no I'm not trying to be mean at all) :)

Take as much advice from him as you can, he went through it and knows the mistakes and what to do. The only thing I would add to his statement though is to make sure not to rinse the salt in tap water... lol not a good idea IMO.

PharmrJohn I dont use Ls i used Crushed coral, I plan on leaving it in the 55 gallon and moving it with it in it. As far as my Lr goes i have my Gsp's Purple mushrooms, and zoa's attached. So i would have to move them in water

No problem. They could stay in your 30g until you moved them. And then use a bucket. I forget that your 55 is lighter and it's possible to do that. Just make sure you don't mix it up too much. Those lower layers need to stay lower layers.

I tell ya. This brought back memories. I was so stressed that whole week.....Part of the reason I started the thread was to take my mind off of it. Worked well. Start a thread of your own also. Take pics of the move and post it. Someone down the road will thank you and there are many ways to skin a cat. The more information out there the better.

    Well the move finnally came.....
I had only 1 friend to help with this process.
It took about 8hrs total with the breakdown and setup.
Ditched the CC for Livesand, upgraded to two koralia 3's
Only lost one fish threw the entire process. Psuedochromis RIP.
I have noticed some bleaching of my coraline, but it is minimal.
On the filter tubes, and small ammounts on the LR.
All my frags made it!!!!. And are actually showing signs of growth now that i have started dosing. New pic's to come in my next post under my 55gallon thread!!

    Don't Stress!

I just moved a 75g with no experience of saltwater except for the 3 days I had to study about it.

Just be sure you have enough extra water on hand! I ended up running around town at 10:30pm trying to buy up all the DO I could find! I ended up getting rid of LOTS more original water than I expected. And we moved most of the LR in a big long 55 gallon plastic trash can. We found a rubbermaid that was 27g with a pop-on lid that we put all the livestock in...(put a black bag in the 30 before you put the livestock in...they need to be covered so they don't freak out) We put plastic large trash bags into ALL the trash cans and 5g buckets that we used, they are more sterile. If you aren't changing your substrate, this move won't be too crazy...just remember..WATER

    OMG....I AM A TARD.....LOL
Didn't realize you already moved...oh well, I will leave this info up for other peeps!
