The Des Moines zoo...pictures

I went to the Des Moines zoo this weekend and snapped a few photos of some of the fish tanks. Enjoy





This Butterflyfish was getting a little face time with the camera.















The yellow at the top of this picture is a rabbit fish swimming in front of the camera. It did this in several pictures i tried to take.

 

And some of the fresh water setups.



So while i was checking out the big sw tank i heard some thunder and what sounded like rain. So i went to the source and found this on the Pacu tank.

Very impressive display tanks for a zoo. So are they growing / propogating their own corals? Thanks for sharing!

 

Yes, and i forgot to post one picture of a biocube filled with anenomes but they are breeding clowns too.

Yeah, i wasnt confident in that being an angel, i was in a hurry since i had to leave for work. O well.

those are almost as big as my tanks at home , and almost as nice as mine too
