Just to add to this...I'm starting to believe that MicroBacter7 could be your main cause, and the "bad" water accelerated it. I've read from multimple sources that MB7 caused a Cyano bloom within a couple of weeks after starting the dosing. I still bought this product, and started dosing about a month ago. Within 2 weeks, I had Cyano on my sand bed. I had never had any problems with it before hand. My tests consistently said 0 NO3 and .03 PO4. I syphoned out as much as I could over the course of a week, doing a 10 Gall Water Change every other day. I also lowered my dose by 75%, and now just dose as directed for the "Stable, Low Nutrient System."

It is worth looking into with the MB7, possibly slowing your dosing a bit. I never had to alter my light period, but syphoning it out I think was my key.

So you got cyano whilst dosing the capful per 25 gallon dosing, yeah? Sounds bout right. Did you just cut down to a couple drops?
