I've seen 10s if not hundreds of these in my tank, always wondered what they were, but finally remembered to post and ask.

    Too smal for pictures.

Imagine a small feather duster tube, but instead of a feather duster fan, there are 4 or 5 incredibly long, very thin translucent tentacles coming out of it. We are talking just a tad bigger than human hair, but easily 2..3 inches long. They come out, drop down on the sand and wait for foods. As soon as something touches them, they try to pull it back into the worm tube.

    What the heck are these?

    Thanks.

Sounds like a Terebellidae worm perhaps.
