so i have seen this 3 or 4 inch whitish-clear colored tentacle coming out of one of my rocks. i just started my tank and i have no idea what this could be. i never see it for more than one second so no pic, sorry. also i have these little pinkish colored worms which i think are bristleworms, are these good or bad?

so it sounds like it is a bristle worm. They are not real great to have, they sell traps to rid you of those worms

i dont know what the first thing you mentioned is... but, the second, if it is a bristle worm, its not a big deal unless it is big, or there are tons of them. bristle worms can be a great part of your clean up crew, and if you have a TON of them, then you are overfeeding, if not, dont worry bout it.

the first sounds like a spionid worm. I have a few and the tentacles are quite long. they are good.

I too have candy cane coral which has on one head, two tentacles about 1.5 cm in length coming out of the stem.
