[IMG] top Right in upper picture is the exhaust fan i'm using. check out my pics on my profile, you might be able to make out whats going on. Used a hole saw to drill out for the exhaust fan. I'm pretty new so it probably looks like crap to most people..I did remove refugium lights..

Hey baugherb, I used to use the single fan from radio shack also, but then I changed it for this one from Drs. Foster & Smith

this is the fan that brought my temp up to the 78-79 that I have now. and they are quiet as a mouse, cant hear them at all.

Azoo I had one inside of my stand blowing across my sump(Dual fans). Problem was it only lasted about 2 months.. Maybe I just got a bad pair.. I used the cord for another fan, so i know it wasn't the converter. You can't beat the price though..... They were very quiet, the salt buildup is whats killing me on the fan... frustrating.....

Is there any way that you can either lower the water level in the sump or stop the water come crashing down into the sump producing all the bubble and salt creep?

The bubbles in the sump are from a power head up high to keep the water circulating...My sump gets this slimmy film on top if I don't. Man I don't know. I could lower the sump level some. Be patient sorry I sound like a idiot.....Just when I get everything figured out something else goes wrong.... :(

the water coming down from the tank are contained because I cut out a tupperwart container to encase the bubbles. If that makes sense?? Maybe I should remove the tupperware container and take out the pump??? Check out my sump picture the tupperware container is behind the skimmer....Ain't that the truth. Its well worth the frustration....

Instead of the tupperware, why dont you try a round sponge like this one
[IMG]or made out of sponge to stop the bubbles and salt creep. Luna
