I have 55 gallon set up and running and the temp stays between 76-78 with no heater. I just set up a 210 gallon but don't have any lights or pumps running and it is staying at like 70* why is the bigger tank staying so cold?

More water volume = mroe energy to heat/cool. Overall you temp will be much mroe stable in a larger body of water jsut have to hope the stable temp is the one you want

I'm going reef with it. I'm hoping to get it up and running today and I hope to be able to ditch the heater once all the equipment is running.

Seeing how my 55 stays at a perfect temp got my fingers crossed the 210 will to.

    Thanks for the replies :)
