Tek light Elite//Sunlight Supply

Not sure how many of you knew, but there was a problem with the fans in the new Tek Light Elite T5 system. Once Sunlight Supply was aware of the issue they said they were working on it and to call everyday to see if there was a un update. Once they figured out what the problem was, a faulty power supply to the fans. They sent out 2 news fans with a new power supply and some goodies, all free of charge. The box included D&D salt, Elos SVM2 food, a coral viewer and some stuff called coral Rx. They did not have to do that. I just wanted to share a GOOD expierence with a vender that knew there was a problem with their product.. 2 thumbs up for Sunlight Supply!! ;D

 

+1 I had the TEK Elite 4-bulb with the fan issue, just got my care package. What a great company, they were super efficient getting back to me & answering all questions I had. The bonus stuff they sent was really a nice gesture. I was confused when I got the package, I was like "how can fans weigh this much"

 

Great to hear this! I'm looking at buying a TEK fixture in the next year. this just makes it easier.

 

Well the same issue is back again with the fans overheating and burning out. Sunlight Supply is aware of the issue, but has yet to give me a set date on a fix(re-issue of new fans, different brand). As of right now only one of the fans is working for me. :-/

 

Yeah I also experienced the problem again with my new kit. I ended up going MH for my new tank. Hope they work out all the kinks for you.

 

Well a new set of fans with new brackets came yesterday. Good job by Sunlight Supply to correct this issue(again).
