TDS 635 wt?

    So I ran my Rodi unit in a fresh clean glass to get a TDS of 0. Ran my pump in my mixing bucket with salt mixing and decided to test that with a reading of 635. Wt?????????

    it will just read total dissolved solids so if you added salt to your 0TDS water then yeah its going to be high. Normally you dont check your mixing salt water lol just to let you know cause you are putting all kind of minerals and stuff in there with your salt :)

    Totally agree. Usually just TDS the RODI water.

    Well remember that RO/DI water should have nothing in it, hence the 0 TDS. Using the TDS meter on salt water will tell you nothing really. Remember that TDS stands for total dissolved solids, and salt water is basically just water with a bunch of stuff dissolved in it.

    New saltwater is going to have a TDS somewhere over 32,000. Most TDS meters ony read to 999, some will go to 9,999 by tens but that is still way short of 32,000.
