living in bermuda the waters do tend to get a little cool.I dont run a heater because of that.every thing in the tank is doing really well.Do you think I should run a heater?I feel that if these corals and fish live in cool water in the winter they can handle 72 degree water. The reefs here are thriving in the winter.went diving the other day and it was beautiful.all the pollups were out on the soft and hard corals.the reefs look 10 times better in the winter than they do in summer.just a thought..

To be honest with you as long as you maintain that temperature, without fluctuations, you will be fine. With a cooler temperature, your water will have more dissolved oxygen making it better for your livestock. You could try raising it a couple degrees slowly and maintain that temp. but you should be fine.
    Good luck!

I agree, 72 is rather low.

My 8g BioCube is constant at 80
My 24g Aquapod is setup to dip.. 76 at night, 79 during the day.

As I just setup my new 30g tank, I'm not sure exactly what we are going to do on the temp but we are both pushing 79-80 for it's point.

    Good Luck!
