    OK setting up a 75 gallon cichlid tank and dont want to spend 55.00 on a glass canopy. I have access to plexaglass and or lexan are either of these OK to use? I am going to cut it just like the glass would be and I have the hinge for it. Any input. Thanks in advance.

    Plexi is fine. Try ww.greatlakesaquarium.com, they have hinged glass lids for cheap.
