    Interesting. I wasn't aware of them stocking up food. That's cool, and also useful to know.

    Thatgrimguy also mentioned they would kill each other, but I forget sometimes it depends on where they come from and how they are introduced... if you introduce some things at the same time they will be fine but others it just wouldn't matter.

    I have a n. wennerae and it doesnt mass murder my CuC, I feed him but I do notice a new empty shell here and there every couple of days. I just place a new order of hermit/snails about every other month or so with reefcleaners. He calls them CuC's, I call them snack packs.

    Stocking up might sound cool, but it will end up adding so many nutrients to your water.

    Also i would not risk it. Even some mated pairs end up killing one of each other.

    You can train your mantis to leave the actual CUC alone, simply by placing his food in a desired "killing ground" and adding the CUC elsewhere.

    Nifty idea about training. I forget sometimes that fish can be trained like any other pet. Some to do tricks others train to eat specific kinds of food. If I even attempt this I will only have one shrimp.
