Tank deteriorating.. What can I do?

    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    If you are not aggressive running quality carbon and changing it routinely you may want secondary to that large leather.

    The goniopora decline is not unusual, they just do that in many tanks. It is thought that their specific nutritional needs can not be met long term in most systems.

    yeah the goniopora i was kind of expecting it.. i wasnt too surprised on that one. I do change my carbon often, my mom actually changed it 2 weeks ago.

    Is the carbon in a reactor, canister or a bag floating in the sump?

    well, the filter pads that come with little bags of carbon. I thought that wasnt enough so i put a bit more of it (2-3 little bags worth).. Not sure how much that would be..

    That would help but there is quite a bit of bypass in that type of setup especially for chemical warfare.

    Fill the filter cavity completely. Look for a canister filter like a Fluval or get a reactor. BRS has there reactors for fairly cheap compared to a Fluval.

    what about my kenya tree? it wasnt like that till it fell over and the rock hit it... is it going to die? or what should i do to help it?
