Well, my tank is deteriorating... My corals are all getting smaller? Exept my toadstool who cant seem to stop growing...

But I remember my frowgspawn and zoas to be bigger and fuller. Now they still seem healthy but they are smaller than before.. With te zoos being the main concern.
The rest of the coral are ok but they don't look as happy as before. ( even my clowns bit me when I was doing some work lol)

My Kenya tree was attached to a rock that fell over and it got hit. Now it's kinda shriveled, and its been like that for a week or so.. It doesn't expand like it used to..

I'm not sure what's going on. My parameters don't seem out of whack.. Although I do have some cyano in te back glass and a bit on the sand.

Also I've seen that the rocks look darker and darker everytime I come. Not sure what's up with that.

Oh and Lights are about 6 months. Up since April 20 or so.
    Any thoughts?

Not since 6 months ago when I first got my lights.
    Flow has been the same.
My zoas are smaller in the sense of numbers not size. The colony isn't as big as it used to be. And frogspawn still same number of heads but it won't open as it used to. I thought I should mention that.

with the test results you have, its going to be pretty difficult to accurately asses where the problem is

I would suggest that you take a sample of the water to the LFS and get them to perform
Mag, Calc and Alk tests plus Phosphate

it may not be a parameter related issue - but it would be good if they could be eliminated from the list of possible suspects

if your water changes are not frequent, and you are not measuring and supplementing for the major ions in the tank then it may be that one or more of the big 3 are well below accepted normal levels and rectifying that may help

if the test come back indicating those parameters are not the problem

there are other things it could be
chemical warfare for example - and again if you have been missing water changes and are not running carbon, it may be that the chemicals released have built up to such a level that they are now affecting many of the corals in the set up

when my water tests indicate that my parameters are all in check yet I see "feel" some corals are not at their best

my normal course of action is
    additional water change - 10%
renewal of carbon or running a Polyfilter for a few days, just to clear out any nasties that may have accumulated

getting those test kits for yourself - would be the most positive step you can take, in avoiding future issues you cant identify for yourself

    Hope that helps
    Steve

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Can you please post a picture of your tank, with macro shots of the algae and the at least one corals.

As far as the zoanthids disappearing, have you looked for zoanthids eating nudibranchs, sundial snails, or any asternia stars present? Best to search for these little buggers a late at night with a flash light.

Thanks steve, I haven't done many of my water changes because I'm at college and had no one to do them for me. So that could be it. I will be doing a water change today and maybe another tomorrow and will teach someone to do them too and see if there is an improvement.

I dont think i have any of those nudi branches or stars. Ive looked for them and havent seen anything. I will take pictures in a minute.
