    Did you try anything to treat the ich? Or did you just leave it in the tank and hope for the best? In the future it might be a good idea to leave a quarantine tank setup for new additions . . . especially if you plan on buying any more fish from the same place. I went through something similar a while back, but I was able to save my fish by removing them and treating with copper, then letting my display tank sit fishless for 6 weeks.

    i did remove it from tank and treat with quICK ick malicite green in qt tank but i think it was just too little to late

    guys whene u say garlic helps fish immunities is it like the garlic we eat. and if it is cuild i just chop up peaces of garlic in to tiny peaces and fed it to my fish to keep them healthy??

    You could add in garlic to a food processor with a little RO water and use the juice as a food additive and the mash could be sparingly added to home made fish foods. There is also a made for aquarium use garlic concentrate that works great, but it is much more expensive (go figure) than making your own.

    Garlic does not help fish's immune system alone, it stimulates a feeding response making sick fish (whom may not have any interest in feeding) want to eat.

    This has NOT been proven to help with any immunities, most people use it to stimilate the fish to eat. Other then making fish eat it has not been proven to do anything else.
