    :confused::confused: My yellow tang has 2 things on his nose one is dark brown and one grey . I swear they are alive and look like a flea or tick would on a dog..possibly a pod?? any suggestions it doesnt seem to bother him he swims around happy ,and eats ..but is is bugging me. Here is the best pic I could get Thanks for any help

    It might possibly be black ich, Its hard to tell from the picture.... Otherwise If it looks alive might be some other kind of parasite.

    these are very tiny but seem attached I dont think it is ick

    As RG posted.

    It could be black ich, caused by parasitic worms and the spots are caused by trauma with the appearence of blood giving it the black spot appearence.

    Well knowing 100% what is wrong or within no doubt what it is would be the 1st step.

    Because treating for for the wrong parasite to me would just become stressful for the fish to have to go through several treatments before fixing the issue.

    There are a few medications that fix across the board issues.

    I wish the tang would stay still long enough and maybe my sixline would bite it off LoL

    Personally I believe you should make a good attempt to treat the fish.

    Marine Fish Diseases and Parasites

    These link will assist you in researching possible treatment options. Whatever the disease and or parasite you should attempt to provide some relief to the fish.
